Richard B. Cheney, prominent businessman and public servant is vice president. Cheney, a well-known face on the scene of Washington politics, has served under four presidents of the US. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush picked Cheney on July 20, 2000 as his vice-presidential running partner, noting Cheney's judgment and insight. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president, was an elected congressman Congress and was secretary of defence. He's a man of integrity and is respected by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney believes that his job in the Bush administration is to be a candid but discrete advisor. Cheney said that when he accepted the Republican nomination as vice president, he looked forward to working alongside a President who works across political lines in order to accomplish his goals. He will work with his opponents in good faith. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, within Lincoln Nebraska. After 13 years of age, old, he moved along with his parents into Casper located in western part of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father directed the local soil conservation district for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
