Molly Tarlov (born November 11, 1981) is an American actress, best known from 2011 on for her character in the role of Sadie Saxton on the television comedy-drama series Awkward. Tarlov was the eldest of two daughters was raised and grew up in Manhattan, New York. As a 10-year-old Tarlov was a character in her role as Mrs. Peterson as part of the Little Red School House production of Bye Bye Birdie. This was a hugely praised performance by a crowd of seven graders. She spent summers studying at NYU Tisch and the Interlochen Center for the Arts. She was trained in a variety of styles for acting and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at Bennington College. The Atlantic Theater Company, which she attended as well, helped her integrate acting and writing in the LAByrinth Theater's Master class. Molly switched her winter black coat into a pair of black sunglasses when she arrived at Los Angeles. Her parents were thrilled when she landed a role of three words on iCarly. Since then, she has appeared on television in numerous roles. In addition, she created the character of Caitlin on Winnie Holzman's ABC Family show Huge. Molly likes to make up stories she's a pro at basketball, even though this isn't the case. Her favourite writers include David Mamet, Henrik Ibsen and Lauren Iungerich.
