She has been called"a horror queen" for her film-related horror work. In 2012-2017, she starred in the role of Marnie Micheals on HBO's drama-comedy show Girls. Her big break came when she played her role as Rose Armitage in the horror film Get Out (2017), that earned her nominations from The MTV Movie Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards among many other honors.
